Growing up in Maryland, Scott Ryan began performing
at a very young age, relentlessly tormenting his brothers by singing annoying
commercial jingles. Throughout high school Scott appeared in shows like
Gypsy, A Chorus Line, Fiddler on the Roof, Bells Are Ringing, and The Man
of LaMancha at local dinner theaters and community theaters. He describes
this period in his life as "paying his dues." After a year at
James Madison University in Virginia, he decided the pace was too slow and
he moved back home to regroup and attend Townson State University near Baltimore.
There he studied acting, movement and psychology for another year until
he was ready for "the real thing," New York City.
Scott has been living in New York for six years and began modeling in
1999. He has done shoots for Discover Magazine, Wild Turkey, and his foot
is visible in the Lever 2000 soap ads. "It is a very nice foot,"
said one well-known appendage critic. Scott has been a singing, dancing
waiter on a local cruise ship, he's done various shows in the cabaret
circuit, and he is currently a singing bartender at the world famous Duplex
Piano Bar and Cabaret, "I'd like to thank my friends and family for
all of their support throughout my crazy life. I've never failed to shock
them and hope to forever continue this trend."
